Italian Foreign Ministry will return its diplomats to Kyiv


Since the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the Italian embassy has moved to Lviv.
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio announced the return of Italian diplomats to Kyiv. According to him, this will happen after Easter, writes La Repubblica .
After Easter, the Italian embassy in Kyiv will reopen, peace diplomacy should prevail, the Foreign Minister said.
The return of the Italian embassy to Kyiv became possible due to the provision of security in the capital of Ukraine and the area around the city.
We are analyzing security on the ground and are coordinating with all our partners and allies in order to be able to do this not all together at the same time, but to join the initiative that returns the offices of diplomats in Kyiv, the Italian Foreign Ministry noted.
It is noted that since the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the Italian embassy has moved to Lviv.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministries of Turkey and Lithuania announced the return of the ambassadors to Kyiv.
