The night of 21 July was a difficult one for Ukraine: several major cities were subjected to a combined attack using Iranian kamikaze drones and missiles.

The night of 21 July was the most difficult for Ivano-Frankivsk during the full-scale war. The city was subjected to a combined attack: Russian troops used both missiles and attack drones. Ruslan Martsinkiv, the mayor of the city, reported on the scale of the destruction and the number of casualties.

According to him, the attack affected several settlements in the community at once. Infrastructure damage was recorded in three villages. There are injured in one of them, and the situation is being clarified for the other two.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of blows, - said Marcinkiv in his Telegram-channel.

According to preliminary information from the State Service for Emergency Situations, at least four people, including a child, were wounded as a result of the shelling.

The strikes on Ivano-Frankivsk were part of a wider overnight attack in which Russian forces shelled other Ukrainian cities. In particular, 12 drone strikes were recorded in Kharkiv, one of which came near a residential building. A road, tram tracks, power lines were damaged, and a fire broke out at a civilian facility. In Kiev, various neighbourhoods were also hit and city infrastructure was damaged.

However, it was Ivano-Frankivsk that became one of the main targets of Russian attacks that night, suffering serious damage and human losses.
