Macron says countries neutral on the war in Ukraine are complicit with Russia

The President of France announced this at a session of the UN General Assembly.

Macron said those who are silent today are serving - against their will or sweetly with certain complicity - the cause of the new imperialism.

Macron also said that Russian aggression against Ukraine marks "a return to the era of imperialism and colonies" and that the world is facing a choice between "war and peace."

At the same time, the French president has already been criticized for not fully supporting Ukraine because he decided to keep lines of communication with the Kremlin open and past comments about "saving face to Putin."

At the UN, Macron also said he would continue the "dialogue" with Russia to "return to peace."
