The situation is critical in Korsunka, Krynki, Oleshki, Golaya Prista, Kardashinka, Solontsy - most houses are under water.

This was reported by the Telegram channel Nikolaev Vanek.

People are either on rooftops or somehow floating to the high-rises. People are not let out of the settlements", writes the author of the Telegram-channel.

The situation in the Kakhovsky district is relatively stable. Unlike in Oleshkivsky district, such extensive flooding has not occurred there and is not expected, and over time, the water will recede. The occupants are also within 20-30km of the coast in this area. The western districts of Oleshek are 98% under water.

There are the first rescues by Ukrainians of their fellow citizens in the occupied territory

A family from Oleshek, who were given water by a drone by the military, have been rescued by civilians. They are now in Kherson.

On top of this, the occupiers are forcing people out of the roofs of their flooded houses to set up firing positions there, the General Staff has said.

In occupied Hola Prystan in Kherson Region, the occupants are forcing residents of two-storey houses to leave their homes by taking firing positions on their roofs.

According to information from the General Staff, it is also noted that residents of the village of Cossack Lageri who found themselves in the flood zone did not receive the expected assistance from local authorities and attempted to evacuate on their own. However, in a weakened state from alcoholic intoxication, the occupants blocked the exits from the village.

What is the situation with animal rescue

The "Chance" animal shelter, one of the largest in southern Ukraine, is located in temporarily occupied Oleshki. There is no electricity supply, generators are flooded, communication is intermittent and food stocks are also flooded. Ways are being actively sought to evacuate the animals.

We are doing everything possible and even impossible to save our pets," according to a post on the shelter's page.

Is Ukraine attempting to evacuate Ukrainians in the occupied territory

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said that Ukrainian authorities are working on possible options to evacuate the population from the occupied part of the Kherson region after the Kakhovka hydropower plant was blown up.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has appealed to the leadership of the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international humanitarian organizations regarding the bombing of the Kakhovka hydropower plant dam by Russian troops.

Dozens of settlements were flooded as a result of this terrible terrorist act. The Ukrainian authorities have organized evacuations from the Kherson region territory under our control. However, on the left bank, in the temporary occupation, people have been abandoned to their fate by the Russians. Hundreds of homes have literally disappeared under water. People are forced to leave their homes using their own resources, and those who are unable to do so are trapped by the elements.

International humanitarian organizations must intervene immediately. We call for the evacuation of people from the Russian-occupied territories of the Kherson region. We must save the lives of the people who have been condemned to death by the occupiers.
Must act immediately! - shmygal said.

What is the situation in other flooded communities

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said that the occupiers are indifferent to the people.

Lubinets said that people are not allowed to pass through checkpoints and are brought back without a Russian passport. Volunteers who want to help people are not allowed into the temporarily occupied territory. To make matters worse, the occupants do not evacuate people. Kherson is shelled during the evacuation, the ombudsman added.

The occupiers brought people to Hola Prystan who were supposed to carry out "evacuation of residents". However, the residents remain on their rooftops without the necessary assistance and no one deals with them, while the school buses that were supposed to take people out remain unused and do not move from their seats.
