Queen Elizabeth II transfers part of the powers to the heir

The list of official duties of the monarch, published by Buckingham Palace, has undergone significant changes for the first time in more than a decade.
British Queen Elizabeth II, who has been ruling for 70 years, has begun the process of transferring some of her powers to the heir to the throne, Prince Charles. This is reported by the Daily Mail .
Some of her more important and official duties will now be taken over by Prince Charles, 73.
As long as the Queen remains head of state, she will only appear "where appropriate or necessary."
Specific activities in the Sovereign Grant Report have been replaced with a more general role for Elizabeth to inspire "unity and national identity," the statement said.
From the list of events in which the queen should participate, the opening ceremony of parliament, which usually takes place in the fall, was excluded. Many of the other events on the calendar this year were attended by Prince Charles instead of the Queen.
Elizabeth II became Queen on February 6, 1952. In 2022, she turned 96 years old. The head of the British royal family has become the country's first monarch in history to celebrate a platinum jubilee.
