Over the past few months, Kadyrov has put on a lot of weight, looks flabby, and often fails to open his eyes in his videos.
Kadyrov is seriously ill. He has serious kidney problems, Bild wrote, citing former Chechen deputy prime minister Akhmed Zakayev.
He said that Kadyrov often looks puffy on video and can barely open his eyes, and linked his absence from Putin's address to the federal assembly, which took place on February 21, to his illness.
According to Zakayev, Kadyrov brought a doctor to Chechnya from the United Arab Emirates because he does not trust the doctors in Moscow.
The chief doctor of the nephrological department of the prestigious Burjil hospital recently flew to Chechnya from the United Arab Emirates for treatment. Apparently, Kadyrov does not trust Russian doctors with his health," said Zakayev.
He also pointed out that the fact that Kadyrov occasionally looks energetic and agile is thanks to the stimulants he takes.
For his part, journalist Jason Smart, citing his own sources, wrote that Kadyrov's kidneys were failing, and suggested that an infection such as hepatitis might be behind it.

A source well-connected in Russia 🇷🇺 tells me that sadistic despot Ramzan Kadyrov's kidneys are failing.

Bild specifies that due to kidney problems, the Chechen politician's appearance has changed drastically. He has gained excessive weight, and his face is swollen.
