- It became known how many civilians died as a result of Russian aggression

So far, at least 10,058 civilians have been killed and more than 18,600 others have been injured due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
Today, on 2 January, Dmytro Lubinets took part in the work of the US Congress Helsinki Commission, where he made a statement. The Commissioner noted the importance of returning home deported children, civilians and prisoners of war. And also spoke about the crimes of the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian people.
Lubinets said, citing UN data, that Russian aggression against Ukraine has killed at least 10,058 civilians, among them 522 children. Another 18,600 were injured, among them 1,211 children.
This is genocide of the Ukrainian people! We will be able to protect people's rights only when we stop the aggression and return all the temporarily occupied territories to Ukraine! - emphasised the Commissioner.
During his speech, Lubinets also recalled the Russian Federation's crimes in Bucha and Mariupol, stressing that the enemy was purposefully hitting civilian infrastructure.
