ISW: APU counteroffensive forces the Russian army to change priorities

Russia adjusts the deployment and deploys troops in the directions of offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The movement of units of the Central Military District (Central Military District - ed.) to the Donetsk region also indicates that Russian forces prefer the Seversk offensive in favor of maintaining the pace of the offensive in the Donetsk region, experts write.
ISW said that Russia is preparing to defend Melitopol, as it is an important logistical route between the Rostov region and southern Ukraine.
The experts also mentioned the transfer of the third army corps, which the General Staff had previously informed about.
The corps consists of poorly trained and inexperienced elements to strengthen the positions of the RF Armed Forces in the Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions. This indicates that Russia is seeking to restore combat power for an offensive in the direction of Donetsk or for the defense of Kherson, the ISW said.
