Intelligence chief Kirill Budanov wanted in Russian Federation

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, has been put on a wanted list in Russia. This was reported by the Russian mass media on Thursday, 14 December.

In Russia, he was accused of terrorism, but the specific article is not specified.

Grounds for the wanted list: wanted under the article of the Criminal Code," the Russian Interior Ministry's wanted database said.

Earlier, in October, the Russian Federation charged Budanov, Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk, Navy commander Oleksiy Neizhpapi and the commander of the 383rd separate regiment of the Air Force, Serhiy Burdenyuk, in absentia.

Also, Russia has put the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, and the commander of the Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy, on a wanted list.
