New minimum pensions for disabled Chernobyl accident liquidators announced

Since 1 March, pensions have been increased for Ukrainians, including the minimum pension for people with disabilities among Chernobyl disaster relief workers.



This was reported by the Ukrainian Pension Fund.

As reported, from March 1, 2023 the minimum pension for disabled Chernobyl accident liquidators, for whom a causal connection to the Chernobyl disaster has been established, shall not be lower than

  • for persons with group 1 disability - UAH 13,376.21 (up to 01.03.2023 - UAH 12,993.56)
  • for persons with group 2 disability - UAH 10,700.97 (up to 01.03.2023 - UAH 10,394.85)
  • for persons with group 3 disabilities - 8025.73 UAH (until 01.03.2023 - 7796.14 UAH).

Recalculations were made on the basis of the average salary in Ukraine, from which insurance contributions were paid and which is taken into account in calculating pensions, for 2022, which amounts to 13376.21 UAH.
