In Gaza, Russia conducts information operation against Ukrainians

The Russian Federation in the Middle East is conducting another information operation to discredit Ukraine. This is reported by the GUR.

Russian citizens are calling Ukrainians who are now in the Gaza Strip and spreading panic among them using fake messages, in particular:

• "Ukraine has abandoned you."
• "There will be no more rescue";
• "Russia is ready to evacuate you".

At the same time, Russian subscribers make it clear that in exchange for the possibility of alleged evacuation from the Gaza Strip it will be necessary to provide an interview for a Russian news agency.

So, terrorist Moscow traditionally seeks to take advantage of the aggravation of basic human needs in conditions of armed conflict to move to the next stage of the campaign to discredit Ukraine, namely, to create appropriate propaganda materials for further broadcasting of lies favourable to the aggressor," the intelligence service said.

The GUR emphasised that Ukraine as a state was doing everything possible to save our citizens.
