"Helluva Boss" Season 2: A Spoiler-Filled Breakdown

The series has added more exciting adventures, quirky humour and lovable characters.

Following the official announcement on 13 November 2021, it was confirmed that a second season was in production and would premiere on 30 July 2022.

"Helluva Boss is an American animated comedy series created, directed and produced by Vivien Medrano. The series airs exclusively on Medrano's YouTube channel.

Plot The series is about the employees of I.M.P. (Immediate Murder Professionals), an assassination company in hell that performs various jobs. The members of I.M.P. are Blitz (Blitzo, the "o" is not pronounced), the boss of the company, weapons specialist Moxie, his energetic wife, Millie, and the secretary Blitz's adopted daughter, Hellhound, Luna. With the help of an ancient book obtained from the Goetian demon Prince of Hell, Stolas, they manage to organise their work and try to keep their business afloat together.

Season 2 episodes

"The Circus", the first episode of the season, gave us a glimpse into the life of King Paimon, Stolas' father, who sent his son to the circus for his birthday and bought him Blitz as a gift. The second episode, Seeing the Stars, is about Octavia, Stolas' daughter, who steals her father's grimoire from the I.M.P. to go see the stars. In the third episode, "Exes and Ouchs", Moxie visits her hometown, reunites with her father and meets an unexpected acquaintance. Finally, in the fourth episode, "Western Energy", Stolas is kidnapped by Stryker and Blitz gives Luna a shot.

Behind the scenes

The second season of Helluva Boss saw some production changes. Starting with the first episode, the SpindleHorse logo at the end of the credits of each episode became accompanied by an animation. In addition, the rotating pentagram shown during the viewer disclaimer at the beginning of each episode has changed to a background and started rotating at the bottom of the text.

A closer look at "Western Energy"

The "Western Energy" episode was the subject of much discussion among fans. Although the episode was praised for its animation and acting, some viewers expressed a desire for more time to digest the emotional scenes, such as Stolas' crying or the interaction between Blitz and Stolas. Despite this, the episode was well received, with fans wanting to see more of Stolas' legions mentioned by both Andre and Paimon.

Stryker's voice actor was temporarily replaced in this episode. The replacement was confirmed by Viv, who stated on Twitter that the former actor was too busy and that his return is expected in future episodes.

As we await the fifth episode of the season, fans are eagerly awaiting the next episode to be revealed. Of the spoilers discussed by fans, only this picture is available so far. Alas, it is difficult to draw any conclusions. Fans are hoping that Stolas and Blitz can finally work out their relationship.
