Putin has officially shifted responsibility for the terrorist attack at Crocus to Ukraine as part of his address to Russians.

The terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow will be a profitable political event for Putin. Even despite the obvious failure of the Russian security services will allow the dictator to strengthen his power and dictatorship. This was stated by German political scientist Thomas Jaeger, writes Bild.

The expert pointed out that what happened is a failure in itself.

If the "Islamic State" (IS) is responsible for the terrorist attack in Moscow, it is, first of all, a failure of the Russian services. They failed to eliminate the danger, even though they were warned. Putin himself rejected the warning, treating it as disinformation," said Thomas Jaeger, professor of international politics and foreign policy at the University of Cologne.

At the same time, he noted that Putin knows how to capitalise on such situations and will certainly take the chance to consolidate his power.

From a political point of view, the terrorist attack is beneficial for Putin because it allows him to strengthen his defence and further control the domestic situation. As a result, he benefits from every terrorist situation in Russia," Jaeger emphasised.

Recall, in the evening of 22 March in the Moscow concert hall "Crocus City Hall" unknown persons opened fire on people, and then set fire to the building. More than 150 people were killed. At the same time, the Russian security services declared about the "Ukrainian trace", and Putin openly stated that there is some data that the alleged attackers of the concert hall tried to flee to Ukraine after the terrorist attack.

The Ukrainian authorities and law enforcement agencies immediately declared that they were not involved in the incident. Ukraine and the world believe that Putin wants to increase the degree of aggression towards the neighbouring country in this way, which is also beneficial for him.
