IDPs will be accepted in Kyiv without a signed declaration with a doctor - KSCA.

IDPs who moved to Kyiv because of the war can count on free and immediate medical care, just like residents of the capital. This was announced by the Director of the Department of Health Valentina Ginzburg, writes the Kyiv City State Administration.

These people have access to all types of medical care under the program of medical guarantees, - said Ginzburg.

According to her, the migrants can count on: primary medical care, specialized, vaccinations, laboratory diagnostics, as well as receive medicines within the framework of the state program "Affordable Medicines".

She stressed that internally displaced persons can apply to any Primary Health Care Center, where, if necessary, they are guaranteed to receive a full package of services even in the absence of a previously signed declaration with a doctor.

Medical assistance is also provided without fail under the packages of the medical guarantee program at the secondary and tertiary levels: treatment of stroke, heart attack, early detection and treatment of oncology, medical care for women in labor, newborns in complex neonatal cases, etc., - said the director of the Health Department of the KSCA.

She recalled that the state program "Affordable Medicines" continues to work.

Patients requiring outpatient treatment for cardiovascular disease, type 1/2 diabetes, diabetes insipidus, bronchial asthma, mental and behavioral disorders, epilepsy can receive the drugs included in the program - free of charge or with a small co-payment, she added.

Ukrainians living with HIV can also receive antiretroviral therapy at the place of their actual stay. To do this, you need to contact the nearest Consultative and Diagnostic Center or the Kyiv City Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS (phones for information: (044) 409-20-70, (044) 409-20-84).

To date, about 29,000 internally displaced persons have already applied to the doctors of communal medical institutions. I appeal to those who, because of the war, found refuge in the capital: in Kyiv, you have the same rights to quality medical care as the people of Kiev. If you are denied it, contact the head of the institution where the misunderstanding occurred, or the Department’s hotline by phone: (044) 278-41-91,” said Ginzburg.

In total, about 100 thousand migrants are officially registered in Kyiv.
