Two children have been identified among those killed in Kostiantynivka after Russian Federation shelling on 9 August. They are girls aged 9 and 11.
The West should strengthen its military support to Ukraine so that the country's army can protect its cities from Russian shelling. This is how the European Union's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell, reacted to the shelling of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Region, by the Russians.
Russia has again shelled Ukrainian civilians, attacking a crowded shopping centre in Konstantinovka, Donetsk region. We support accountability for this and other Russian war crimes. Ukraine now needs more military support to protect its cities, civilians and infrastructure," Borrel wrote on social media X.
Earlier, in the morning, 10 August, it was possible to identify two children killed in an enemy strike on Konstantinovka, Donetsk region. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As of the morning of 10 August 2024 in Konstantinovka identified the bodies of 2 dead children - they are girls 9 and 11 years old, - stated in the message.
It is indicated that experts establish the identity of six more people. Among them may be one child.
According to the latest data, the number of dead as a result of shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation in Konstantinovka is 14 people, wounded - 43 people.
