According to the First Lady, her desire now, like all Ukrainians, is to finally reach the end of this war in a normal physical and mental state.

Ukraine's first lady Olena Zelenska gave an interview to British journalist Piers Morgan in which she touched upon her family issues. The video was published by the Office of the President on 6 March.

Olena Zelenskaia says that due to her busy schedule and workload, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sees their children about once a week for a few hours.

The children see their father about once a week for a few hours. Sometimes less often if he has business trips. I can see him more often at the Office of the President because I have my office there. Sometimes I can call him, and if he is not busy, I can visit him," Zelenskaya said.

She also said that sometimes she can have lunch with her husband, but it happens not very often.

Because of our different schedules, sometimes it is very difficult to even talk. That is, we live such parallel lives now, - said the first lady.

Elena Zelenskaya told about the boyfriend of their 19-year-old daughter.

According to her, Alexandra's chosen one comes from Mariupol. He and his parents hid in a bomb shelter from Russian shelling before they managed to leave the occupied city.

My daughter watched the film with her boyfriend who is from Mariupol. He and his parents hid in the basement of a house for weeks before they managed to leave. He saw with his own eyes how his neighbours were killed," shared Elena Zelenskaya.

She also said that Alexandra and her boyfriend together visited the premiere of the Oscar-nominated documentary film "20 days in Mariupol".

The first lady admitted that it was hard for them to watch the film, as the boyfriend witnessed the events that had already traumatised him.
