The SBU believes that Tabachnyk helped gauleiters from Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General's Office.

The agency believes that former Ukrainian Education and Science Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk helped the leaders of the occupied parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions. For this, the Security Service of Ukraine reported a suspicion of treason under martial law.

The text of the suspicion reads that on 1 May he used the Telegram messenger to contact collaborators of the occupied territories in Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions Volodymyr Saldo and Yevhen Balitskyy with Russian Deputy Health Minister Andrey Plutinitskyy to organize security processes in the occupied settlements. Tabachnyk was also acting as a representative of the Russian higher authorities.

He faces a life sentence for treason.
