In Kharkiv, law enforcers detained a saboteur at the scene of the crime. He was hiding explosive devices for blowing up a railway and a petrol station in a kettle and buckets.



A series of planned petrol station bombings were prevented thanks to a well-planned special operation of the SBU counterintelligence and criminal investigation operatives of the National Police. This is reported by the National Police.

Thesaboteur was detained when he laid explosives at a petrol station in Kharkiv.

The detainee, 54-year-old Kharkiv resident, is involved in the commission of at least three such crimes. It has been established that the saboteur actively communicated with representatives of the Russian security services and then carried out tasks to destabilise the situation in the country.

He is known to have been involved in the bombing of two petrol stations in Kharkiv, as well as in damaging a railway with explosives.

In all cases, he used improvised explosive devices, which he disguised in household kettles or household buckets. The explosives consisted of plastid, clockwork and a power cell," the report said.

During searches in the house of the saboteur seized weapons, grenades, money in different currencies, and at the address of residence of his mother - about 5 kg of plastic, detonators and clockwork to the improvised explosive device.

The detainee confessed to the crimes committed, and investigative actions are being carried out with him, including to establish his involvement in similar crimes.
