Defence forces dislodge Russian invaders from the village of Peschanoye near Pokrovsk

There was a certain "turning point of the situation" in the Pokrovsky direction.
The Ukrainian military has dislodged Russian troops from the village of Peschanoye in the Pokrovskyy district of Donetsk Region and also drove the invaders out of some other settlements. This was reported by a representative of the operational-strategic grouping of troops Khortytsa Viktor Tregubov on the air of the channel "Kyiv24".
He pointed out that liberated from the enemies Peschanoye is located about five kilometres south of Pokrovsk.
We usually don't like to talk about such things, because the situation is fluid. And it happens that you say something and the situation changes the next day, but it seems that it is in the Pokrovsk direction that a certain breakthrough has taken place," Tregubov stressed.

According to him, the occupants had "very serious intentions regarding Pokrovsk". However, in January they suffered heavy losses in the troops that were marching towards the city. Now they have been pushed back.
This was possible thanks to the spectacular action of drones and the co-operation of different units," Tregubov explained.
Note, the day before the General Staff of the AFU reported that the troops of the Russian Federation intensified efforts, compared to the previous day. The total number of assault actions on 15 February increased by 2.5 times with the greatest activity in the Pokrovsky direction.
At the same time, the UK intelligence service said that the attempt to encircle Pokrovsk in Donetsk region remains a priority for the Russian Federation's offensive on the front. The occupiers are trying to cut off Ukrainian logistics lines in the Pokrovsk direction and are suffering heavy losses.
We shall remind you that on 11 February, a representative of the Ukrainian group of troops Khortytsya said that the losses of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction in January 2025 amounted to 7,000 killed and 15,000 wounded and missing.
