Fighting is already taking place on the outskirts of Bakhmut and in some places inside the city.

Benefits from the Ukrainian army's holding of Bakhmut in Donetsk Region will be evident in the near future. The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, made this statement.

He pointed out that the enemy does not count manpower and throws its own soldiers under the bullets of the Ukrainian defenders, all so that then to report upstairs about the "capture of the city".

Danilov pointed out that the enemy's desire to achieve victory at any cost and large troop losses were "in the hands" of the AFU, because it was being intensively exterminated.

The NSDC secretary pointed out that fighting was already taking place on the outskirts and in some places inside the city. But Ukraine's defenders continue to defend Bakhmut from the occupation.

You can't even imagine how useful it will be for us, for the country and our army in the near future. There is a huge amount of nastiness that has invaded our territory. As reported by Syrskyy (Commander of the Ground Forces Aleksandr Syrskyy - ed.), everything is strewn there with the corpses of these Russians, 'Wagnerites', no one takes them away, because no one needs them," the NSDC Secretary noted.

Danilov also said that on March 10, one of the longest meetings of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was held - it lasted almost three hours. The situation around Bakhmut was a key topic of discussion.
