Commanders of military personnel will be able to certify their wills: the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on a resolution
Military personnel will be able to certify wills not only at a notary.
The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the right of military personnel to certify wills both from a notary and from a commander. This is reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The Decree provides that under martial law, to certify the wills of military personnel of the Armed Forces, other military formations formed in accordance with the laws, as well as employees of law enforcement (special) bodies, civil protection bodies who are involved in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, resistance and not only notaries will be able to contain the armed aggression of a foreign state. The commanders (chiefs) of these formations (bodies) and other persons authorized by such a commander (chief) also received such a right, the Ministry of Justice reports.
After certification, the unit commander must transfer the document to the Ministry of Justice through the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense or any other law enforcement agency.
The Ministry, for its part, undertakes to transfer the certified document to the notary within two days, and he must enter it into the Inheritance Register within three days.
