Officials tell how many centimetres the water level in Kherson region dropped overnight

The water level in Kherson Region dropped by another 26 centimetres overnight. The head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said this.

He noted that 32 de-occupied settlements, 3,784 houses in total, remain in the water, but the water is receding little by little.

By morning, the water level is 4 metres 19 centimetres. It dropped 26 centimetres overnight. On the right bank, 2,716 people have been evacuated", he said.

At the same time, he pointed out that there is no such positive trend on the left bank.

The dynamics of water recession have decreased. The evacuation has failed, the occupants are taking away people's boats and floating the flooded houses themselves, taking away the surviving property", the OVA head added.

He specified that, at present, specialists monitor the state of water in settlements without a centralized supply, and if necessary, organize the delivery of bottled water.

Now, the situation with the sickness rate in the region is stable. There have been no cases of infectious diseases," Prokudin added.
