Budanov made a prediction about when the war would end
The war will only end with the return of Crimea and Donbass.
The head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's State Security Service, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
In Budanov's opinion, there is only one way to end the war in Ukraine - by returning the borders of Ukraine as of 1991.
In the opinion of the intelligence chief, this is quite realistic to do by the end of 2023.
The end of the war in Ukraine will be the return to the 1991 borders. Otherwise, if Crimea or Donbass are not returned, the war will continue until all these territories are back under Ukrainian control.
Until Ukraine regains either Crimea or Donbass, the war will not be considered over.
