Banksy is an anonymous British underground street art artist. Banksy's first work appeared on the streets of Bristol in the late 1990s. Banksy's real name and origins are unknown and there is much public controversy surrounding his background. Banksy has gained international recognition for his distinctive style of satirical street art and screen-printed graffiti. Very often Banksy first creates a copy so he can quickly paint on the wall and escape the police if necessary.

The artist painted a little girl on the ruins of a multi-storey building destroyed by the Russians, which he posted on his Instagram page on Friday, November 11.
