The news of the arms transfer could come on the eve of Zelensky's visit to Britain.

This was reported by The Guardian.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is expected to announce the transfer of long-range weapons to Ukraine.

Additionally, the prime minister will announce an expansion of the training programme for the Ukrainian military to include fighter pilots and marines, "guaranteeing that Ukraine will have an army capable of defending its interests in the future".

The UK reports that it has already trained 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen in the last six months and plans to train another 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers this year.

It was also reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Britain today, which will be his first visit to the united kingdom since the start of a full-scale war with Russia.
