Borrel named the condition of Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has said that one of the main conditions for Ukraine's victory is its armament, noting that the allies remain committed to helping Ukrainians fight against the Russian invaders, including with weapons and shells. Sky News reported.

In the face of an existential threat to Europe, the EU wants to increase military aid to Ukraine. And this, in turn, will play a big role in the success of the Ukrainian military on the front," he said.

The head of the European diplomacy added that the EU would also closely monitor what was happening in America in the sphere of formation of the country's budget. He also assured that the EU is still ready to provide all the necessary assistance to Kiev and even increase it despite what will happen in America.

We have provided support worth at least 25 billion euros. And this is only military support. And the total support reaches 80 billion euros. And this is the largest amount we have ever allocated for such support. We are proud of that. And I assure the minister that we are working for peace, but we must support Ukraine militarily," he said.

Borrell added that during his first face-to-face meeting with Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov in Kiev, he discussed "continued military assistance from the EU."

We are preparing long-term commitments to ensure Ukraine's security," he pointed out.
