The reason for the dissatisfaction of the Conservative Party was the untruthful statements by Downing Street about the former deputy parliamentary organizer Chris Pincher, who is accused of having claims on two colleagues. Johnson's office claimed he was unaware of the incident and therefore supported Pincher's reappointment in 2022, but the premier was later forced to admit that this was not the case.
