Belarusian opposition says Putin is preparing a "blitzkrieg" on Vilnius

The Russian and Belarusian authorities hope that "the civilised world will be shocked" by such an escalation of aggression and "stop resistance".
Russia and Belarus are planning a "blitzkrieg on Vilnius". At the same time, the two dictators are counting on the fear and consternation of the West. This was stated by the representative of the Belarusian opposition Joint Transitional Cabinet (JTC) on defence and national security, reserve lieutenant colonel Valeri Sakhashchik, speaking at a rally in Warsaw on March 24, 2024, dedicated to the Day of Will - the 106th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Belarusian People's Republic (BPR), reports Pozirk.
He indicated that he was aware of Lukashenko and Putin's far-reaching plans and emphasised that the two were considering the use of nuclear weapons.
Moscow and Minsk are planning an attack on Lithuania, as well as the probable use of nuclear weapons, because of failures in the war with Ukraine," he said.
Sakhashchik said that Putin wants to take advantage of the fact that Western countries are having difficulties with the necessary assistance to Ukraine.
It should be noted that Belarus has put its troops on alert since 11 February 2024. Saturday, 16 March, the military units began to receive conscripts from the reserve, writes the portal "Charter'97. The Belarusian authorities explain it by the exercises. Within the framework of the started exercises, columns of military equipment are fixed on Belarusian roads, first of all in the west.
