Former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has been announced a new suspicion of information activities in favour of the enemy.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine.
The ex-officer was charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (part 3 of article 109, part 6 of article 111-1, part 3 of article 436-2) - committing acts aimed at violent change and overthrow of the constitutional order, carrying out information activities in cooperation with the aggressor state and in justification, recognition as lawful, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the ex-government official, who has been hiding in the Russian Federation since 2014, has been carrying out active information activities in cooperation with the aggressor since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. For this purpose, the former Ukrainian prime minister uses Russian media and the Internet. He regularly appears on the airwaves of Russian news channels, promoting the aggressor's narratives and conducting information activities aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian state.
In these videos posted on the Youtube channel "Inaya Pravda" and media portals of Russian media, the former Prime Minister justifies the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, launched in 2014, and the occupation of part of Ukraine's territory. He also expresses public calls to overthrow the constitutional order in Ukraine by violent means," the Prosecutor-General's Office said.
In addition, Azarov calls the events in Bucha a "fake", spreads the narrative that "Putin's special operation saved Donetsk from capture". He also calls for denazification and violent change of the Ukrainian government.
The conclusion of the forensic linguistic semantic-textual examination confirms the illegal activities of the official.
