Another "Solntsek" of the enemy destroyed: SDF showed video

The defence forces have destroyed a Russian TOS-1A Solntsepek flamethrower system in the southern direction. The video of the destruction was published by the AFU Special Operations Forces on 9 January.

While conducting reconnaissance in the Southern direction, the crew of the 73rd SDF Maritime Centre's BpAC discovered a TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system camouflaged under tree crowns.

The system is used to destroy light armoured vehicles and manpower, as well as destroy enemy fortifications. Fire from the Solntsepek is conducted by unguided rocket projectiles of 220 mm calibre weighing up to more than 200 kg," the report said.

The SDF operators determined the coordinates of the target and directed HIMARS fire of the rocket-artillery unit at it.

As a result of the fire hit, the enemy's Solntsek was destroyed.
