English provides wide access to knowledge, the labour market, information and cultural products.
The government intends to secure English the status of an international language in Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal in Telegram.
The head of the Cabinet noted that members of the government are working on solutions to improve accessibility of learning this language and after that they will propose a relevant draft law, which will make English available for learning and give it certain advantages in our country.
We are preparing a draft law, which, among other things, will enshrine English as a language of international communication. At the same time, solutions are being worked out to make learning English more accessible to everyone, - he wrote.
He stressed that after the war Ukraine would become open to investors, international projects and exchanges. English will be an obligatory attribute of reconstruction and development.
English language gives wide access to knowledge, to the job market, to information and cultural products, to higher salaries. Ukrainians must also enjoy these benefits, which will help to establish Ukraine as a regional leader," he said.
