Amazon, Microsoft and Google stop access to cloud services in Russia

Amazon, Microsoft and Google are closing access to their cloud services for users in Russia. This was announced by Microsoft distributor Softline in the Russian Federation.

Russian companies will not be able to use these products or get access to data in these programs from 20 March 2024.

On behalf of Softline Group of Companies we confirm receipt of official information from Microsoft and Amazon about suspension of access to cloud products in Russia from 20 March 2024. In this regard, Softline Group warns of possible functional limitations in the operation of cloud products and services of Microsoft, Amazon and Google. According to letters from right holders, from the specified date access to cloud products such as (including but not limited to): Power BI, Dynamics CRM and others," the report said.

These restrictions against the Russian Federation are determined by the 12th package of sanctions of the European Union dated 19 December 2023, which restricts the supply of business intelligence (BI), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other products to the Russian Federation.

Softline recommends that all companies in the Russian Federation as soon as possible to back up data associated with all cloud products of Microsoft, Amazon and Google.
