A teenager was blown up by an explosive device in Kharkiv region


This is the third mine explosion in 24 hours.
In the village of Kamenka, Izium district, Kharkiv region, a 14-year-old boy blew himself up on an explosive object. This was reported by the head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov.
Now the child is hospitalised with an injury and receives the necessary assistance.
Once again I urge the inhabitants of Kharkiv region to remember the high mine danger and be very careful, - said Sinegubov.
Earlier in Chernihiv region two men blew themselves up on a mine. They came across the explosive device in the forest belt. One of them died from the explosion. The other was taken to hospital with injuries.
Also in Mykolayiv region in Bashtansky district two teenagers playing outside the village became victims of a mine left by the occupants. A 12-year-old boy was injured, the 14th died on the spot.
In total, 248 people have died and 525 have been injured since the beginning of the full-scale invasion due to explosive blasts.
To date, Ukraine has raised about 500 million euros for demining, which will be spent on survey funds, machinery and equipment for deminers. This includes €100 million from Switzerland, about €20 million from Norway, €12.5 million from Sweden, €5 million from Croatia, €2 million from Austria, and €1.5 million each from Spain and Slovenia.
Ukraine has about a quarter of its territory, or 174,000 square kilometres, potentially contaminated with explosive residues, including occupied territories.
