A spy rented a flat near an airfield to spy on the AFU Air Force

The SBU has detained a Russian agent who rented a flat near an airfield to spy on AFU planes.
SBU cyber specialists have detained an FSB agent who collected intelligence on the Defence Forces and critical infrastructure in Kyiv Region. This was reported by the SBU on 13 February.
The spy was trying to identify the locations where the AFU aircraft were based. He was also interested in the directions and intensity of flights of Ukrainian troops' aircraft.
To collect intelligence information, the Russian agent settled for a few days in a rented flat near a local airfield. Along with this, the figure scouted geolocations of air defence complexes of the AFU and found out the accuracy of enemy "arrivals" on power facilities, - reported in the special service.
SBU officers detained the spy when he was conducting additional reconnaissance near an energy generating facility in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, the spy turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of the capital. A few months ago, the young man was remotely recruited by a FSB officer.
The Kyiv resident came to the attention of the Russian secret service because of his activity in pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, where he endorsed the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
For the fulfilment of enemy tasks, the traitor received money from the FSB, which went to his bank card," the SBU said.
During searches in the flat of the detainee, a mobile phone and a computer with evidence of his correspondence with the Russian secret service were seized. A bank card, which received money from the FSB, was also found.
Investigators of the SBU informed the defendant of suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). He faces life imprisonment.
