- Occupiers threaten Kherson residents with reprisals for refusing Russian passports

Russian invaders continue forced passportization in the occupied territories.
Russian invaders threaten physical retaliation against residents of Kherson Region for refusing to obtain Russian passports. This was reported by the Centre for National Resistance.
They noted that people try in every way to avoid such passportization and do not take a Russian passport.
Because of this, in settlements in the temporarily occupied districts of the Kherson region Russians abuse civilians," the Centre for National Resistance reported.
Among the popular punishments for refusing a Russian passport is the "pit". The Russians put a bag on the head of those who do not want to take a Russian passport and throw them into the trenches.
The Russians also use a torture chamber in Genichesk to put pressure on people, where they torture the local population. Citizens with pro-Ukrainian views, as well as those who do not wish to comply with the requirements of the local so-called occupation authorities are brutally tortured there. In this way, the terrorists force the population to obtain a passport in order to avoid reprisals. Despite this, the residents continue to resist and refuse the Russian paper," the Centre noted.
The pace of issuing Russian documents in the seized territories remains slim and the occupation administrations receive systematic reprimands from Kremlin handlers.
