In Kirovohrad region, a man spied on Ukrainian air defence because he wanted to get into the FSB

A resident of Donetschyna region was recruited by Russians for a full-scale invasion with promises to get a job in the FSB. The man was carrying out enemy tasks on the territory of Kirovograd region.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The Security Service's counterintelligence carried out a multi-pronged special operation in Kirovohrad Region. As a result of complex measures, another FSB agent who collected intelligence on the deployment of the Defence Forces in the region was detained," the report said.
As it turned out, the man arrived in Kirovograd region under the guise of a migrant at the behest of the enemy. There the collaborator began to conduct reconnaissance and subversive activities. He settled in one of the settlements, collected information about the locations of basing of AFU units and tried to identify the positions of Ukrainian air defence, to establish the headquarters of the Tero-defence.
To fulfil the tasks of the enemy, the man got a job as a repairman at one of the military facilities in the region.
For each completed task the occupants "guaranteed" their henchman a cash payment of up to UAH 5 thousand. In addition, the FSB reward promised to "evacuate" this agent to Russia and employ him in the ranks of the special service of the aggressor country, - added in the SBU.
The attacker was detained "on hot pursuit" when he was photographing the AFU object. He was seized a phone containing the captured media files, communication with the FSB representative and other evidence of illegal activity.
The man is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment for treason (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code).
