Zelensky says he is ready for talks with Putin

Ukraine has an interest in seeing peace on its territory come sooner.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he does not rule out a personal meeting and negotiations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in order to end the war as soon as possible. The head of state said this during an interview with the BBC.
At the same time, he emphasised that he was ready to talk about peace on Ukraine's terms, which are based on the UN charter. According to him, such negotiations may take place within the framework of the Second Peace Summit.
At the same time, he noted that it does not matter whether it will be Putin, but a person who can influence politics in the Russian Federation.
We have always said - we see that at the Second Peace Summit, if a plan is fully ready and if Russia is ready to negotiate this plan and negotiate an end to the war, according to the UN charter, and the resolution of all those crises that they brought, then we will be ready to talk together with partners with representatives of Russia. Whether it will be Putin or not Putin - what's the difference, let's be honest," Vladimir Zelensky emphasised.
He noted that Ukraine needs the support of its allies in order to approach such negotiations.
If we want to end the war and we have all the forces to do so, if the world is united around Ukraine, we will talk to those who decide everything in Russia," Zelenskyy stressed.
We shall remind you that on 14 June, Vladimir Putin, speaking to the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, named the conditions on which, according to him, Moscow would be ready to end hostilities in Ukraine. Among them: withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territory of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions; guarantees of neutral status from Kiev; recognition of the annexation of Crimea, as well as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhya regions as Russian territory.
