Zelensky plans UK visit next week - Guardian

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may pay a visit to the UK next week, where he has been invited to a meeting of European Union leaders. This was reported by the Guardian

The interlocutor of the publication stressed that agreements on trips of the Ukrainian leader are rarely confirmed, but now there is "90% certainty" that the Ukrainian President will make a visit.

It is indicated that as part of the visit, Zelensky intends to meet with Britain's new Labour government and has also scheduled a speech at a general meeting of European leaders. His speech is scheduled for 18 July. On that day, the EU leaders intend to discuss support for Ukraine, the development of democracy and the configuration of security in European countries.

New British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as the leader of the host country, will speak at the opening of the meeting.

He is expected to emphasise his state's commitment to Ukraine, as well as the reset of relations with the EU after Brexit," the newspaper said.

This is the fourth meeting of the community after Russia's full-scale invasion. It is initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron.
