Zelensky began his official visit to the United States and held his first meetings

Zelensky visited a factory in Pennsylvania that produces artillery shells for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy arrived in New York (USA) to participate in the events of the UN General Assembly High-Level Week. At the same time, the head of state is scheduled to have a number of important meetings, including with US President Joe Biden.
Zelenskyy said that this autumn the issue of strengthening Ukraine's position in the fight against Russian invaders will be decided.
While on a visit to the USA, Zelensky visited the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in the state of Pennsylvania, which specialises in the production of artillery shells. He stressed that such plants "feel that the democratic world can win thanks to people working to protect life in Ukraine, America and partner countries".
The President said that the plant would increase production.

Zelensky also met with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Senator Bob Casey from that state and Congressman Matt Cartwright in the USA.
Grateful for all the support. We agreed to work even more actively to increase our common strength - Ukraine and America. And separately, I would like to thank everyone who welcomed us in Scranton with the blue and yellow colours of our flag, - the President noted.
