In addition to Orban, the talks were attended by the heads of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Austria and Slovenia.

The Hungarian daily Népszava quoted several individual sources familiar with the negotiations as saying this.

According to the journalists, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Brussels, where they held talks. Additionally, Zelenskyy invited Orban to Kiev.

Besides Orban, the meeting was also attended by leaders of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Austria and Slovenia.

The Ukrainian president at the meeting spoke about the list of weapons Ukraine needs. Hungary and Austria immediately refused to supply them.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Orban has taken a pro-Russian stance. He constantly blocks sanctions against Russia and sabotages economic aid to Ukraine. In addition, the Austrian and Hungarian leaders recently issued a joint statement that they will not supply weapons and military equipment to Ukraine. They will support only humanitarian issues.
