WHO says how many Ukrainians may suffer from mental illness because of the war

According to an expert from the World Health Organisation, Ukraine's medical sector may be facing a crisis.
This was reported by Reuters citing Michel Kazatchkine, special adviser to the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe.
The specialist believes that because of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which has lasted almost a year, a quarter of Ukrainians may suffer from mental health disorders.
Kazachkin said he was recently in Dnipro, where he saw dozens of servicemen hospitalised with "acute anxiety, depression and mental health disorders".
Mental health is becoming a major public health problem in Ukraine. The war and its consequences have led to an increase in the use of legal and illegal psychoactive substances.
Overall, he believes that a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could cause a health crisis in Ukraine.
