Ukrainian troops continue their offensive in the eastern and southern directions.
To date, Ukrainian troops have liberated 1,170 square kilometers in the Kherson direction. This was stated by the head of the joint coordinating press center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk, on the air of the telethon .
As of today, since the beginning of active operations, more than 1,170 square kilometers have been released in the Kherson direction. This continues the work on securing the territories, and on cleaning up, and on carrying out stabilization measures, since the settlements leave "surprises" left by the occupiers, she said.
In general, today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated 1,534 settlements, which are located in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Nikolaev, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
The restoration of infrastructure in the liberated areas continues, the police, post office, and authorities are starting to work. At the same time, the work of 1,445 humanitarian headquarters has already been organized in the de-occupied territories.
