The US says it is preparing an aid project for Israel

US President Joe Biden has said he will make sure Israel gets the help it needs to defend itself against terrorists.
The US said that it was urgently developing an aid package for Israel. In particular, the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ben Cardin said that it is urgent to introduce into legislation the conditions for the provision of defence equipment to Israel, and also pointed to the need to approve the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. This is stated on the website of the US Senators Committee.
As President Biden said earlier today, the United States stands shoulder to shoulder with Israel in support of its right to defend itself against terrorism and to do what is necessary to protect its people. I also know that in the near future, the United States government and Congress have an obligation to offer the kind of assistance that has been at the core of the U.S.-Israel relationship since its founding," the senator said.
He indicated that he would do everything possible to ensure that a bill to provide Israel with weapons would be brought to a vote sooner rather than later.
The package includes replenishment of the Iron Dome missile defence system, which ensures that such interceptors will always be available. I also urge consideration of additional funding for Israel's defence due to the immediate impact of this terrorist attack," he said.
Earlier, US leader Joe Biden said that the United States will make sure that Israel receives all the necessary assistance and will be able to defend itself against the emerging terrorist threat. At the same time, he emphasised that his administration's support for Israel's security is firm and unwavering.
Recall that yesterday morning, 7 October, militants of the Hamas terrorist group infiltrated into Israel from the Gaza Strip, and also launched a massive rocket attack on Israeli cities.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel is entering a long and hard war.
We will add, during the day as a result of the attack of militants in Israel killed at least 300 people, the wounded are already about 1600. Authorities believe these numbers will continue to rise.
