Five Ukrainian servicemen from Melitopol to be tried in Russia.
Russia is going to try five Ukrainian servicemen who allegedly intended to organize an underground in Melitopol. Propaganda media outlets have reported about this.
The defendants in the case are Ihor Gorlov, an AFU contract serviceman, military servicemen Volodymyr Zuyev, Andrey Golubev and Alexander Zhukov, as well as Yuriy Petrov, who was dismissed from the Ukrainian army. According to the FSB, all five were members of the Melitopol ATO Participants' Union, which was headed by a certain Vladimir Minko.
Russia attributed the Ukrainians to the alleged planning of explosions "in the locations of Russian troops and places of distribution of humanitarian aid".
According to the FSB, the Ukrainians were planning to throw grenades at military equipment, servicemen and blow up a car.
The soldiers were detained in Melitopol, after which they were taken to Crimea, and then sent to the Lefortovo remand centre in Moscow. At the same time, Minko, who is accused of organizing an "underground operation", went into hiding.
At the end of April, the Ukrainian military will be tried in the Southern District Court in Rostov-on-Don.
