As a result of the missile strike on Pokrovsk, seven people are now known dead


Among the dead are 5 civilians, one worker of the State Emergency Situations Service and one military officer
More than 30 officers of the National Police have been injured as a result of a missile strike by Russian aggressors. This was reported by the head of the department, Ivan Vygovskyy.
We have 31 wounded policemen as a result of yesterday's shelling of the town of Pokrovsk in Donetsk Region. Also injured seven rescuers of the State Emergency Situations Service and killed the deputy head of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region Andriy Omelchenko.
In the morning of 8 August, debris removal resumed. At night we were forced to suspend work due to the high threat of repeated shelling," said the head of the Interior Ministry, Ihor Klymenko.
As of 11:00 on 8 August, 81 wounded were reported:
- 39 civilians, among them two children - born in 2006 and 2012;
- 31 policemen,
- 7 employees of the State Emergency Situations Service,
- 4 military.
Damage to 12 multi-storey buildings, buildings of the hotel, prosecutor's office, pension fund, pharmacy, two shops, two cafes and two civilian cars were recorded.
