vladislav, 9, was blown up by a landmine in a pasture.

The incident took place in the village of Bereznevatoye, Bashtanskiy district, Mykolayiv region, which was liberated from occupation in 2022,

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the boy was leading a cow to different pastures and an explosion occurred in one of them. The animal died on the spot and Vladislav received shrapnel wounds.

Medical personnel of Mykolaiv regional children's hospital fought for Vladislav's life for three weeks. Funds raised on the United24 platform were used to save the boy.

We used a paediatric artificial lung ventilation machine and anaesthesia (anaesthesia and breathing apparatus). Modern CPR, especially during warfare, needs to be safe and tailored to each patient's needs. We also monitored Vladislav's hemodynamics through the monitor, monitoring his blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation. He was under our constant supervision. And he recovered!" said Aleksandr Plitkin, chief doctor at Mykolaiv Oblast Children's Hospital.
