The Security Service of Ukraine and the Navy launched a large-scale fire attack on the Saki military airfield in occupied Crimea last night

This was reported by Public Crimea with reference to sources in the SBU.

It is noted that there were at least 12 combat aircraft (Su-24 and Su-30), as well as MANPADS "Pantsir" at the airfield. There was also a training base for Mojaher UAV operators. It is these drones that the Russians use to coordinate their own aerial attacks and also as a combat attack drone.

The strikes by the Security Service and the Navy hit the target and caused serious damage to the occupants' equipment. The drones were used to hit the enemy, which overwhelmed the Russian air defence, and then - launched Neptun missiles," the SBU reported.

Occupation channels confirm serious destruction and losses, there write about more than 30 dead military. Locals reported that explosions were heard in Novofedorovka, Saki, Yevpatoria, Dzhankoy and Balaklava. Russian Telegram channels called the drone attack on Crimea one of the "most massive" of all time.

The Russian defence ministry said it had allegedly shot down 19 drones over the peninsula.
