There is not enough capacity to generate electricity in Kyiv, with a long way to go before blackout schedules

A number of homes in Kyiv remain without power since Monday morning.
This was reported by the general director of electricity supplier Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, on Facebook.
According to Kovalenko, the state of the energy system in Kiev has hardly changed over the past 24 hours: the capacity covers only half of the city's needs, and there is no question of returning to the schedule.
In fact, now we have 50% less capacity than necessary, which is needed to power the critical infrastructure.
On Tuesday, the entire city or 1.1 million users were practically without power.
The light is being supplied to the critical infrastructure. In addition, thanks to the electricity, Kyiv is supplied with water and heating. Dispatchers are doing their best to ensure that the city districts have supplies at least for a short time. But that leaves a number of houses which have had no light since Monday morning.
Therefore, Yasno advises people to insulate themselves and review the list of things they need to get through prolonged blackouts with peace of mind
