Occupiers kidnapped an activist in Kherson: they've been looking for her for six months

On May 13, 2022, on her birthday, Irina Gorobtsova was kidnapped in Kherson from the house where she lived with her parents. She did not evacuate the city, but was engaged in social activities and helped the Ukrainians.

They said: “If you don’t open the doors, we will break them down.” Indeed, there was a man with a sledgehammer and metal shears,” said lawyer Emil Kurbedinov, who now represents the interests of Gorobtsova.

During the search, all equipment and a mobile phone were confiscated. Relatives lost contact with her, and her parents decided to contact the Russian authorities that control the occupied territory. They were told that their daughter had been taken to the Crimea.
