Large-scale fire in Spain, people evacuated

A wildfire has broken out in northeastern Spain. Due to the strong wind, it quickly got out of control. The authorities of the region had to urgently evacuate more than 1.5 thousand people. This is reported by The Associated Press .

The head of the municipality of Aragon, Javier Lamban, said that the situation is particularly critical in Añón de Moncayo.

The fire, whose cause is unknown, damaged holm oak forests, pine forests, shrubs and crops, as well as some farms in Alcalá de Moncayo. A number of roads have been closed.
